National Conference
In 2010 Davis Event Consultancy were contracted by the Labour Party to design and manage their important Annual National Conference. Taking into account broad consultations and research we designed a modern and innovative conference theme. The conference has several key televised components meaning that the entire event needs to be broadcast ready. We worked closely with RTÉ, Observe outside broadcast services and the client to produce a cutting edge space perfectly suited to the live audience and the broadcast requirement.
The visual look of this event was crucial and we designed a highly innovative 60 foot video screen as a back drop curving around the stage. This meant that all sections of the conference were perfect for broadcast live on TV. At the same time the audience had a perfect view from all parts of the venue.
The tight deadlines between broadcast sessions, voting sessions and plenaries meant that the production and management teams had to be highly efficient and professional. This also meant that registration and delegate management was crucial and efficient management here was essential.
With the massive success of this three day conference we were further engaged to design and build a modern media and press conference centre for The Labour Party’s recent general election campaign. We installed a live link to RTÉ and facilities for all national and international media. We also managed daily conferences here which were broadcast nationally and internationally.
We further managed numerous off site conferences and events in the three week period all carried on national and international media in venues from iconic Guinness Storehouse and Aviva Stadium to retail and community centres. All of these environments were expertly treated to create conference spaces perfect for live broadcast.
We further managed a 1500 delegate special conference at the end of the campaign to facilitate debate and voting on entering government. This event was also carried live on RTÉ and international media. All of these events were also streamed live on the web. This large conference also demanded a highly skilled team who worked professionally and tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect.
